Restoration and Museumization of the National Photo Gallery Marubi
On March 30th 2014, at the premises of the “Milenium”’ Cinema in Shkodër, the public hearing to announce the project design award for “The restoration and museumization of the national photo gallery” was organised.
This activity finalizes the second phase of “Call for Proposals”’ for the project-design on the National Design Competition for the National Photo Gallery which was organised by the Ministry of Culture in cooperation with the Albanian Development Fund and Atelier Albania.

Classe 2On the 28th of July, in Classe (Ravenna) there has been inaugurated and opened to the public with the presence of the Italian Minister of the Culture and Tourism, Dario Franceschini, the first station of the Archaeological Park.
The relevant museum project foresees the restitution of the ancient spirit and context in the new dress of modern usability which aims at fostering the accessibility, the interactivity and the powerful and evocative multimedia experiences in the same site in which the ancient commercial port once rose.

Municipality of Piran has restorated the new cultural centre “Božidar Jakac” in Padna with the total reconstruction of the exteriors and interiors of the building and the complete furniture and multimedial equipment of the premises.
The cost of intervention (around 400.000,00€) has been supported by the IPA Adriatic CBC territorial cooperation Programme in the framework of the HERA project in which Municipality of Piran is partner.

DSC 3852New arrangement design of Tourist Information Centre in Campli
Campli celebrated the rearrengement of the new Tourist Information Center in the Farnese Square, which has been refurnished and equipped by Consorzio Punto Europa teramo within the activities of HERA project and the financial assistance of the IPA Adriatic Cross-Border Cooperation Programme. At the opening ceremony, the attendees were addressed by the Mayor of the Municipality of Campli Mr. Quaresimale and other regional and local administrative stakeholders and it was projected the territorial audiovisive tourism product which will be presented in the three international tourism fairs in London, Madrid and Milan.

Tourist Information CenterNew Tourist Information Centre in Postojna
The Opening Event of the new Tourist Information Center, which was constructed in scope of the project HERA and has been produced with the financial assistance of the IPA Adriatic Cross-Border Cooperation Programme, was held on 4th July 2014 on street Tržaška in Postojna.
At the opening ceremony, the attendees were addressed by the Mayor of the Municipality of Postojna Mr. Jernej Verbič and the President of the Tourist Association of Slovenia, Mr. Peter Misja.

Marubi Virtual museum

Albanian Development fund implemented the creation of the virtual museum in the Marubi Centre of Shkodra (Albania). The Marubi archives are considered one of the most important photographic heritages in all Balkans. The project consisted in archiving, cataloguing and digitalization of photographic archives, and the creation of a webpage for the promotion and presentation of these archives to visitors wishing to discover more about the cultural identity and history of Albania through involvement in a visual journey of photography.

Participation to BIT International Tourism Fair in Milan 11th - 13th of February 2016

Over the years Bit has been an international meeting point for decision makers, professionals, buyers, sharply outlined and selected, coming from different areas and industry fields.

Participation to FITUR International Tourism Fair in Madrid 20th - 24th of January 2016

 

FITURFITUR is a global meeting point for tourism professionals and the leading trade fair for inbound and outbound Ibero American markets, which celebrated its 36th staging and confirmed in 2016 the trend towards recovery in the industry with relevant success: 9,605 exhibiting companies from 164 countries/ regions, 124,659 trade participants and 107,213 people from the general public, met during the 5 days of event.

Moreover among the participation figures of note was the presence of 7,184 journalists from 60 countries, a turnout that demonstrates the importance of FITUR on the international circuit of tourism sector events.

Old Town of Sokolac restoration

Development Agency of Una-Sana Canton, Bihać, Bosnia and Herzegovina, implementing HERA project as one of 19 partners, has achieved one of the most important outputs within the project activities with the restoration of Old Town of Sokolac.

By restoring the Old Town of Sokolac, started in April 2015 and finished in November 2015, it has been implemented as an attractive location to tourists, so that it will improve tourism offer and contribute to the development of cultural tourism in Una-Sana Canton.

The peculiar position of the fortress required a lot of hard work and resources. The walls were in a dilapidated and rundown condition, but nevertheless the Contractor adequately accomplished the task assigned by the Contracting Authority.

The Old Town of Sokolac is located on a hill above the village of Sokolac with a beautiful view of the entire picturesque landscape. This fortress was declared the national monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina on 17 September 2007.
